Location: Hybrid / Field-Based (Primarily San Antonio, New Braunfels)
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried ($35,000 - $43,000 / year, depending on experience)
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing program operations while actively coaching, mentoring, and leading youth and staff. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and building meaningful relationships with young people and the community.
Our Mission
Join us as we pursue creating environments where all kids can be successful. Texas SuperStars was founded on a mission of integrating life-skills into active play, helping to develop the whole child, and we funnel this into our exciting range of school-based enrichment programs throughout the year. We are a company filled with people who are passionate about creating positive, life-long experiences for kids of all ages. At Texas SuperStars, we’re committed to the difference we can make and our commitment to each other’s success.
As a premier youth development and enrichment provider, we offer a wide variety of activities within our engaging enrichment programs for children ages 4 to 14. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of children through structured play, helping them develop essential social and physical skills that extend far beyond the playing field and classroom.
The Role
As the Director of Youth Development & Sports Programs at Texas SuperStars, you will play a pivotal leadership role in directing day-to-day operations and driving program excellence within our South Central Texas footprint, primarily focused in San Antonio, with wider support to the New Braunfels area. Partnering closely with the ownership and District Coordinators, you will oversee the execution, quality, and logistics of our regional programs, serving as a vital bridge between field execution and organizational strategy.
This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly balance high-level team management, logistical oversight, and hands-on field direction. This role is not a typical 9-5 role. It’s a lead from the front, mentorship, inspiring others to see the impact you make. You will be instrumental in upholding the Texas SuperStars mission by driving staff accountability, maintaining precise inventory control, optimizing scheduling, and championing top-tier program delivery.
What You’ll Do & The Impact You’ll Make
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, champion, and develop the enrichment and coaching teams, overseeing regional staffing support, onboarding, and ongoing professional development.
- Quality & Operational Oversight: Measure program outcomes and continuously improve program quality and participant experience, partnering with Site Coordinators and Program Coaches to ensure that our strict standards for safety, high energy, and structured fun are consistently met.
- Logistics & Asset Management: Direct the allocation of equipment and supply inventory, ensuring all school sites and community programs are fully and efficiently resourced.
- Roster & Schedule Optimization: Oversee staff scheduling and organize program rosters to ensure seamless daily operations, optimal staff placement, and accurate invoicing.
- System Administration: Master and manage our in-house data systems to streamline program schedules, track performance metrics, and facilitate efficient customer communication.
- Strategic Field Delivery: Serve as a visible leader by participating in program activities, coaching sessions, and special events. Step in to launch and direct high-priority programs at the start of each season, and provide senior leadership coverage during vacancy periods to ensure zero disruption to the student experience.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified

- Experience mentoring staff and developing future leaders.
- An organized, high-energy leader and clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated experience coaching youth and leading athletic or enrichment programs.
- Strong administrative skills, including budgeting, planning, scheduling, and program evaluation.
- Flexible, adaptable, and highly trustworthy, with demonstrated experience in team management or program operations.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have
- A passion for creating opportunities that help young people build confidence, character, leadership, and lifelong success.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to leadership and a strong sense of ownership over regional results.
- Enthusiasm for building community, coaching coaches, and fostering a positive, growth-oriented staff culture.
