Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance, to ensure all building systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee budgetary aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, repairs, and renovations to minimize disruption to daily operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to address their specific maintenance needs and support their objectives.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
- Source and monitor external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment inventory.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and advancements in building maintenance to enhance the organization's operational efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment using schematics and testing devices like ohm meters.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments effectively.
- Experience with residential painting and general building interior maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of reading technical manuals clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship.
- Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Personnel or a similar role in building maintenance.
