Duties
- Assist customers in selecting plants, trees, shrubs, and gardening supplies that meet their needs and preferences
- Provide expert advice on plant care, watering, fertilizing, and pest control to ensure customer success
- Maintain attractive displays of plants and gardening products to encourage sales and inspire customers
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Educate customers about plant varieties, seasonal offerings, and gardening techniques to enhance their experience
- Restock shelves regularly to ensure availability of popular items and keep the sales floor tidy and inviting
- Support nursery maintenance tasks such as watering plants, pruning, labeling, and caring for inventory to uphold quality standards
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for plants and gardening is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain plant care instructions clearly and confidently
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
- A proactive approach to assisting customers and contributing to a team environment
- Basic knowledge of horticulture or willingness to learn about plant varieties and gardening techniques is a plus
Must be available to work during the day and on some weekends.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
