Job Summary
Join our vibrant art and pottery studio as a dedicated work-study assistant, where your enthusiasm for creativity and hands-on involvement will help bring artistic visions to life. You will support daily studio operations, assist with pottery and art projects, and gain valuable experience in teaching or co-teaching workshops, art direction, marketing and social media management. Duties
- Assist with preparing clay, glazes, and firing processes for pottery projects
- Support studio maintenance by cleaning workspaces, organizing supplies, and managing studio tools
- Help set up and clean up for classes, workshops and events in the studio space
- Support social media content creation by capturing images or videos of ongoing projects and events
- Aid in art direction efforts by organizing materials and assisting with display setups or exhibitions
- Collaborate with staff on lesson planning, event organizing and outreach/marketing.
Requirements
- Knowledge of mixed media arts and/or ceramics
- Strong interest in art direction with a willingness to learn new techniques
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and studio equipment
- Passion for arts education, ceramics, or social media/marketing is highly desirable
