OVERVIEW: This position performs accurate and timely accounting/reconciliations and EFT payment postings including ACH, ATM, wires, and transactional settlements. Responsible for ensuring separation of duties between accounting and backoffice member account processing, including complex account resolutions, IRA transactions, year end reporting, and debit card disputes. Duties include adhering to GAAP, NACHA, tax and regulatory laws, rules, and regulations to ensure reporting accurately reflects the financial position of the credit union.

Responsible for ACH settlement, workflow including disputes, stop payments and resolution for ACH exceptions, returns, and unauthorized transactions.
Responsible for EFT payment processing, workflow including stop payments and resolve exceptions, returns, and unauthorized transactions.
Ensure Regulation D, CC, and E compliance and monitors any exceptions.
Maintain a working knowledge of Records Retention regulations to manage GCCU’s RR policy.
Assist with reconciling ACH, EFT, ATM, debit card, share draft, and other assigned general ledger accounts including researching and resolving exceptions, and investigate any out-of-balance conditions.
Responsible for processing wires, stop payments, mobile deposits, SEG payroll processing, ATM balancing and monitoring reports.
Assist with creating, analyzing, and monitoring data to recognize fraud trends and alerts with a focus on minimizing card fraud loss.
Assist with IRA program including RMD, tax documents, account maintenance and vendor relationship.
Ensure daily deadlines are met by identifying out-of-balance conditions and other exceptions to processing including GL reconciliations.
Assist for annual submission of Unclaimed Property to appropriate state agencies and Dormant account monitoring; contact members with unclaimed property to reduce the balance due to the state(s).
Assist with debit and credit card programs including disputes, chargebacks, file maintenance, compromised cards and monitoring of vendor reports to maintain.
Responsible for decedent accounts monitoring and reporting; contacting next of kin to rectify account holdings within the proper rules and regulations.
Administer restrictions on member accounts reported on the system.
Notify management of potential legal issues or credit union risk exposure.
Continually seek opportunities to improve service delivery and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Maintain industry knowledge of ACH, EFT payments, and other processes related to Payment Systems, including the NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines; ensure compliance with all state, federal, and NCUA regulations and laws.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information; exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with susceptible, highly sensitive, complex, and confidential issues and situations.
Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing safe and sound operation for the credit union; ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
