Job Summary

Duties
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food orders, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
- Organize and prioritize food items based on order sequence, guest needs, and presentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with servers, cooks, and management to relay order updates or special requests.
- Ensure all food items meet quality standards before serving, including proper plating and presentation.
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with guest needs when necessary to promote a seamless dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food preparation, expediting processes, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and servers.
- Knowledge of POS systems, numeracy skills for order accuracy, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, handling procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Experience in banquet settings or hotel hospitality environments is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
