- Be the on‑site technical driver for PVD operations—plan experiments, coach teams, and translate learnings into standard work.
- Improve flow, yield, and quality using data, SPC, and rigorous problem‑solving methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Lead application development and production scale‑ups with the Plant Management team.
- Implement targeted equipment or process upgrades to unlock capability and capacity.
- Own QMS adherence—maintain ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 processes; train colleagues on procedures and work instructions.
- Embed Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) to eliminate waste and stabilize outcomes.
- Tackle related tasks as the operation evolves.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or Plasma Physics.
- 3+ years’ hands‑on vacuum coating experience in thin films; deep familiarity with PVD/PACVD equipment and processes.
- Working knowledge of ISO quality systems; APQP experience including PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Mechanical design aptitude with AutoCAD (or similar) and the ability to manage small to mid‑size projects.
- Clear communication, strong organization, detail orientation, and a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~10%).
