Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a self-motivated, forward-thinking Service & Repair Assistant (HVAC-R) to join the Facilities Department in the HVAC-R Shop. The Service & Repair Assistant (HVAC-R) performs routine and repetitive tasks in the inspection, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Generally, the Service & Repair Assistants (HVAC-R) work under the supervision of a Service and Repair Mechanic (HVAC-R), or supervisory maintenance position. After incumbents learn and perfect their craft, they may perform journey level activities under supervision or after receiving detailed instructions.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications for the Non-competitive Service and Repair Assistant (HVAC-R) position are:
- Two-years of full-time experience in heating, plumbing, electrical, steam-fitting, air-conditioning,or refrigeration work under the supervision of a journey level tradesperson; OR

Completion of a two-year technical school course in heating, refrigeration, or air-conditioning ata school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

Unrestricted Drivers License with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7G Pesticide license, for cooling tower maintenance and treatment, or ability to obtain.

EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification or the ability to earn certificate.

Experience with the operation of integrated Building Management Systems and PLC's.
