Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address security concerns or hazards
- Monitor CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as needed to maintain a secure environment
- Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting theft or vandalism attempts
- Support emergency procedures by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and operating AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes
Skills
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections
- Background in military, law enforcement, or security roles that enhance situational awareness and response capabilities
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED operation, and basic emergency response protocols
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or safety purposes
- Familiarity with security equipment such as Taser devices (where legally permitted) and other non-lethal tools
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience in performing background checks and loss prevention techniques effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with emergency responders and team members
