We are looking for a Italian speaker for a long-term collaboration to join our team as a tour guide, storyteller, and narrator in New York City.
The Role Includes:
- Conducting walking tours
- Telling stories live to guests
- Creating photos and short videos during tours for social media
- Promoting additional tours or tickets when appropriate
A passion for photography or videography is a strong plus.
This role is about telling stories about New York and America — history, culture, movies, music, and iconic figures — both to a live audience and on camera.
Compensation (Clear & Transparent)
- Hourly tour rates: $18–$60, depending on tour type, experience level, and overall performance
- Higher-paying tours assigned based on reliability, guest feedback, and reviews
- Gratuities are an important part of total compensation; while never guaranteed, our guides typically receive consistent and solid tips
- Bonuses and performance incentives available for top performers
- Additional commissions earned by selling extra tickets or promoting additional tours
Candidates with sales or marketing experience can realistically double or even triple their income, as we offer some of the highest commissions in the U.S. for tours sold through our website.
Type of Collaboration:
This is not an employer–employee position.
It is an on-call, independent contractor collaboration.
That said, we strongly value long-term relationships:

- Strong performers receive more tours and better opportunities
- We consider our guides part of our family and core team, not disposable freelancers
This is not a full-time position, but during the busy season it can become a solid and consistent side income, and for the right multilingual, sales-oriented candidate, a stable year-round opportunity.

Ideal Candidate
- Italian speaker
- Fluent English required (additional languages are a big plus)
- Passion for books, reading, history, movies, music, and American pop culture
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Confident, extroverted, and comfortable speaking to groups
- Not camera-shy
- Interested in photography, video, or social media
- Reliable, professional, and serious
- Sales or marketing mindset is a major advantage
Education and background are not important — passion and knowledge matter most.
Training Provided
No prior tour-guide experience required.
We provide full training, storytelling structure, and ongoing support.
