About the opportunity
Lavender is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Nurse Practitioner — a role that combines clinical expertise with leadership to support our growing team of psychiatric nurse practitioners. This position is ideal for an experienced NP who thrives in a dynamic telehealth environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care while mentoring others.
As a Lead NP, you’ll collaborate closely with Lavender’s Care Concierge and Clinical Leadership teams to ensure that both our clients and NPs have the best possible experience. You’ll play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, improving operational workflows, and supporting NP retention.

In this role, you’ll not only provide expert clinical care but also help guide and develop our amazing team of NPs. We’re looking for someone who is confident in making clinical decisions, enjoys managing and mentoring others, and can adapt to the ever-evolving world of telehealth.
Key responsibilities
Leadership and management responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support for an assigned team of psychiatric NPs

Complete onboarding check-ins with new NPs

Conduct monthly face-to-face check-ins with direct reports

Perform bi-annual chart audits and bi-annual performance reviews and address both development opportunities and performance improvement needs as required

Review the clients of concern list and provide constructive feedback with remediation plans

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise to process improvement initiatives

Mentor new graduate NPs as needed

Play an active role in the hiring process by conducting NP candidate interviews
Clinical responsibilities:

Maintain a client caseload as an NP; number of days per week to be determined based on your desired schedule
Required qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
-
ANCC board certification
-
5+ years of experience in adult mental health
-
Proven healthcare leadership experience, including direct supervision of a clinical team

Excellent communication and documentation skills
-
Ambitious, client-focused work ethic

Open-minded and adaptable — startup experience is a plus!

Schedule
Most lead NPs work 2 or 3 lead days per week and dedicate the other days to clients. We are flexible with schedules and open to discussion about what works for you.
