Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles, with the ability to analyze financial reports and provide insightful recommendations. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting clients with their financial needs, including wills, trusts, and estate law. Mandarine speaking (preferred)
Duties
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide guidance on corporate accounting practices and financial strategies.
- Assist clients in understanding complex tax regulations and implications for their financial decisions.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Xero for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
- Conduct thorough research on tax-related issues to provide informed advice to clients.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, corporate accounting, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken or Xero is preferred.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports.
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
