Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring proper cargo securing and safety procedures are followed.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and meet delivery schedules promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, provide updates, and resolve any logistical challenges.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with route driving within local areas.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, including load & unload procedures.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
