Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and reach truck and walkie riders, to move products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
- Assist with heavy lifting and materials handling, ensuring that all items are stored and retrieved safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and distribution center operations.
- Experience with RF scanners for inventory management is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
