Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Help prepare delivery routes by organizing packages for efficient route driving and ensuring all items are correctly loaded onto the vehicle
- Support drivers in adhering to traffic regulations and safe driving practices during route driving, including operating manual transmission vehicles if required
- Load and unload cargo safely, following proper lifting practices to prevent injury and ensure the integrity of goods
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with deliveries at customer locations, answering questions professionally, and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including load & unload records, delivery confirmations, and incident reports when needed
- Start time 6:00 am warehouse. Scan packages and help deliver packages on the route with driver.
- Area delivering Redmond/kirkland area and parts of Seattle.
- Must have working phone that can scan packages. Android or iPhone.
- Background check required to work job.
Skills
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Experience with commercial driving, especially box trucks or similar vehicles, is preferred
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and adhering to traffic laws
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Skilled in manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Knowledge of material handling equipment operation and safe lifting practices to prevent workplace injuries
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during delivery interactions
- Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and record keeping
- Understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace
