Job Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all wrapping operations and personnel, including machine operators, set-up technicians, and support staff. This role ensures production schedules are achieved efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, safety, and food safety compliance.
This is a hands-on leadership position, with approximately 85% of time spent on the production floor. The supervisor drives team performance, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), supports continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure seamless product flow and operational excellence. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of wrapping personnel and equipment with a team of 15-40 people.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Develop and manage daily staffing schedules based on production needs.
- Lead, coach, and develop wrapping machine operators (Amp-Rose and Theegarten), set-up technicians, and line leads.
- Monitor line performance to ensure compliance with product specifications, including seal integrity, wrapping quality, and labeling accuracy.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as production output, downtime, scrap rates, and machine efficiency using Power BI.
- Identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Chew Room, and Packaging teams to ensure timely and efficient product flow.
- Partner with Maintenance to address equipment issues, support preventive maintenance (PM), and drive reliability improvements.
- Ensure all equipment is approved by Quality Assurance prior to use (ATP, allergen, and pre-operational checks).
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and company policies.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
- Report and document workplace incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Enforce company policies and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate operational records and analyze data to support decision-making.
- Support new product introductions, pilot runs, and projects in collaboration with R&D.
- Communicate production plans, priorities, and changes effectively to the team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
Schedule Requirement:
- 2pm to 12am must be open to work some Saturdays
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or food).
- Experience with OEE, Lean Manufacturing, 5S and root cause analysis.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance tracking (KPIs, efficiency, yields, line speeds).
- Experience using systems such as Power BI and production data platforms (e.g., RZ).
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work early morning shifts and flexible hours as needed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
