Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team at Pure Motion. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology, along with excellent customer service skills. A background in sports, personal training, or other health related fields are preferred!
Duties
- Perform various types of massage techniques including deep tissue, Swedish, and therapeutic massages tailored to individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a med spa or occupational health setting as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the treatment area.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively address client needs.
- Proficiency in pain management techniques to assist clients in alleviating discomfort.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Experience in working within a med spa environment is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of occupational health principles is a plus.
