Job Overview
Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary to set up and maintain the equipment and mechanical processes for the manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, develop, implement, or enforce manufacturing and equipment safety, security programs and activities.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of mechanics, contractors, or vendors to meet production goals and equipment maintenance.
- Locate, select, and procure tools, equipment, replacement parts, and supplies to maximize return on investments and to meet production goals and personnel needs.
- Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
- Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors to perform duties within budget.
- Develop or implement equipment tracking systems to analyze equipment downtime and expenditures to detect production problems and increase performance.
- Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.
- Interview, select, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, resolve personnel grievances, or recommend transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
- Provide information or indication of problems to Management or Quality Assurance.
- Assists in other duties as needed and directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Education and/or Experience – 5 years of general janitorial and/or maintenance experience.
- Mathematical Skills – Accuracy with arithmetic and subtraction, decimals, and percentages.
- Language Skills – Must be able to read and comprehend detailed instructions and effectively communicate highly technical concepts in English, verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills – Must be able to use Microsoft Office, time keeping or other business-related software
Education and Experience:
- Skilled in, operation monitoring, critical thinking, time management, following through, and active listening, troubleshooting, controlling operations of equipment or systems, quality control analysis, and equipment selection equipment maintenance, repairs.
- Have a mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; knowledge of engineering and technology, production and processing including quality control, costs, and raw materials.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Must occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs. or more.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, or stoop.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
