Margaritaville Beach House is looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to work and have fun at our hotel!
Accounts Payable’s key responsibility is to ensure our company processes payments for goods and services and record these transactions timely and accurately.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Open daily mail of invoices;
· Distribute invoices to appropriate department for coding and approval;
· Turn in invoices to Controller for final approval;
· Enter invoices accurately into the system;
· Process checks, distribute to Controller and GM for signature, stuff checks and mail;
· Void checks if necessary;
· Review statements, follow up with vendors for skipped items;
· Process new vendors, W-9, credit app, etc.;
· Update and maintain vendor insurance list;
· Preparing documentation for chargebacks;
· Answering all guest phone calls and emails. Researching any billing discrepancies and inquiries and providing timely follow up with the guests/customers;
· Communicate articulately and efficiently with other departments, such as Sales and Catering, Reservations, Front desk, and more.
· Complete Month-End processes;
· Assist with any special projects assigned;
· Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting while complying with federal, state, and local financial requirements;
· Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Preferably but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Emphasis placed on accuracy in transposing and accounting calculations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand basic accounting relationships between Assets, Liabilities and Equity.
