Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports to: Store Manager
Role: The Customer Service Representative will most importantly serve as the main communicative source, delivering exceptional service, both internally and externally. This role requires an active person with a great personality that can work with customers and everyone in the plant. This individual will be responsible for aiding the manager effort by strengthening communication and effectiveness regarding store inventory and customer orders. The Customer Service Representative is expected to help increase company morale by creatively strengthening relationships with our customer base and increasing customer and employee satisfaction. Customer service is part of this job as well as HACCP paperwork and record keeping. You will be handling the front counter and phone calls.
Responsibilities (Critical behaviors associated with this role):
Execute responsibilities for the front retail area
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
- Proactively stock and organize retail coolers and freezers
- Ensure cleanliness and presentability of retail space for customers
- Maintain a well-rounded knowledge of internal status within the plant - know inventory coming in and out and the status of orders
Demonstrate a full understanding of the POS system
- Execute system troubleshooting, credit card machine, printer, and processing of gift cards
Deliver exceptional service while engaging, retaining, and building relationships with customers
- Exceed customers’ expectations with timely and courteous service in providing a friendly environment, which entails greeting and assisting every customer, in addition to all other customer service aspects
- Assist customers with completing the full sales process through checkout
- Demonstrate the ability to gather and assist desired information for all customer inquiries
- Assist in fielding phone calls, answering customer questions, and taking orders
- Possess an understanding of invoiced (wholesale) customers vs retail customers
- Finalize and complete customers’ orders and order pickup
- Possess a basic understanding of inventory items
Deliver exceptional service while engaging, retaining, and building relationships with invoice (wholesale, restaurant) customers
- Execute placement of weekly orders and ensure their completion in a timely manner
Assist with location HACCP paperwork (HACCP program dependent)
- Work in conjunction with the Store Manager to assist in execution of location preop and SSOPs, daily temperature records, integration of data logger information to system (once applicable), receiving records, and acid spray record (if applicable)
Assist in executing deer season processes
- Ensure all cut sheets are completed and collected for animals in our possession
- Assist customers with cut sheets
- Finalize and complete customers’ orders and order pickup
Skills & Qualifications:
- Preferred, 2-year Associates degree or 4-year Bachelors degree
- Preferred, Customer Service experience
- Agricultural and meat industry experience highly preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills and provide superior customer service
- Must have high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- This position will require dependability, hard work, effective communication, diligence, and a “can-do” teamwork attitude to make every workday successful.
Job Type: Part-time
- Pay will be an hourly rate and will depend on previous experience
- Pay is biweekly
- Schedule: Saturdays required, and others as needed
