Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our expanding construction team! Responsibilities
- Apply drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing techniques to achieve a seamless surface ready for painting or further installation
- Repair damaged drywall surfaces, including patching holes and restoring damaged areas with precision
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of finishing techniques
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for drywall installation, sanding, and finishing tasks
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality standards are met
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment on-site
- Assist with metal stud framing, fixture installation, door hanging, and other related tasks as needed to support project completion
Skills
- Proven experience in drywall installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and repair processes
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanders, and caulking guns; proficient with power tools including drills and sanders
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans accurately
- Experience with related trades such as plastering, carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, or remodeling is a plus
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, plumbing (including water damage restoration), and fixture installation is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and quality assurance
