Dietitian / Nutritionist (Part-Time -20 hours/week)
We are seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) to join our team in a dynamic, community-focused role. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about nutrition and enjoys educating others through counseling, presentations, and writing.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will provide nutrition services to older adults and the broader Berkshire community through a mix of direct care, education, and program support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide counseling through:
- Home visits
- Telehealth (video)
- Phone consultations
- Deliver nutrition education to community members and staff at local venues
- Develop and submit lesson plans, handouts, and evaluation tools
- Contribute articles to the Berkshire Senior newspaper
- Serve as the agency’s primary resource on nutrition-related topics
- Support menu planning to ensure high nutritional standards are met
- Perform nutrient analysis and maintain accurate, timely reports
- Conduct site visits/inspections for program compliance
- Lead ongoing trainings for staff and volunteers
Qualifications
Education & Experience (one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, public health nutrition, or a related field and at least 1 year of community nutrition experience
OR
- Associate degree in nutrition or related field and at least 2 years of community nutrition experience
Licensure:
- Required: Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN)
- Preferred: Registered Dietitian (RD)
