Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant dining team! Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival, providing excellent guest relations
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently to optimize table turnover
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service for all guests
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and seating charts using restaurant table management systems
- Answer phone calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette to assist with reservations and inquiries
- Assist in managing POS (Point of Sale) systems for guest check-ins and billing processes when needed
- Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness of the host station and adherence to health guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
- Support overall restaurant operations through organizational skills and effective communication with team members
Experience
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a food service role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and table management systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Experience in customer service roles that involve guest relations, phone communication, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing, or POS transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations will enhance your effectiveness in this role
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
