The Opportunity
The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the School Director, Associate Director, and Education Coordinator to develop and support a strong positive school culture. This position requires maintaining written documentation and strong communication skills. The Program Coordinator plays an essential role in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining strong team members. In addition, the Operations Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement recreation programming including daily and weekly therapeutic recreation groups and weekly community based instruction. This position requires maintaining written documentation such as initial skills assessment, daily grades, and quarterly progress updates for all students. In addition, the Operations Coordinator will implement gross motor and leisure activities to help students maintain physical, social, and emotional well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work directly with the school Director and the Associate Director to identify, recruit, and retain quality support personal.
- Implement formal Induction Process for new employees
- Mentor newly hired employees.
- Work in conjunction with the Team Lead to plan and Implement PBIS activities both school wide and in the classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers in implementing IEP goals and objectives, as well as specific course requirements and current curriculum.
- Develop activities which focus on enhancing gross motor skills; modify games/activities to a manageable level for students.
- Develop and implement activities which focus on group social skills development.
- Develop and implement activities which increase student cardio-vascular endurance, sport related knowledge, teamwork, sportsmanship and promote student confidence.
- Assist students in utilizing coping skills throughout activities/games.
- Provide support and guidance to classrooms in modifying games, sports and other classroom activities.
- Maintain recreational equipment throughout the school year.
- Responsible for daily documentation of student progress, incidents, and other required paperwork.

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning Required

Extensive experience with students with behavioral challenges is strongly preferred
