We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and organized Navigator to join our Peñasco school-based team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students by working collaboratively with clinicians, Community Support Workers (CSWs), school personnel, families, and community partners.

Position Summary
The Navigator coordinates daily navigation services for students, assists with referrals and interventions, develops engaging Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) activities for the after-school program, and maintains program documentation and data. This role serves as a trusted resource for students while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with agency policies, funding requirements, and the mission of Nonviolence Works Inc.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students.
- Coordinate and provide daily navigation services within the school setting.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Track student services, referrals, interventions, and program outcomes in accordance with agency and funding requirements.
- Collaborate with clinicians, Community Support Workers (CSWs), school personnel, and community partners to identify and support students in need of services.
- Create and facilitate engaging Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum and activities for the after-school program.
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for students requiring short-term support during the school day.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and case consultations with clinical and support staff.
- Attend approximately three hours of monthly SEL Community Catalyst training.
- Participate in Community Coordinated Support Services (CCSS) and other required professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a professional attitude, dependable attendance, and positive working relationships.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and respect for the rights and confidentiality of those served.
- Attend weekly supervision and quarterly all-staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, schools, or behavioral health programs is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass required background checks.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
