Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently and accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
- Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support (BLS) protocols in accordance with safety standards
- Perform routine clinical tasks including phlebotomy, and specimen collection for laboratory testing
- Document patient interactions thoroughly using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
- Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections or removing sutures.
- Manage administrative responsibilities like appointment scheduling, patient education, insurance verification, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulationsSkills when needed
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessment and documentation
- Experience working in OBGYN preferred, but willing to train as long as they are Certified as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency with EHR systems for efficient data entry and retrieval of patient information. EPIC and ECW
- Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, ICD coding, and medication administration confidently
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an outpatient settings with a focus on patient safety and quality care

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
