Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of proven truck dispatching experience, excels in coordinating transportation activities such as maximizing miles and route efficiency, excellent problem-solving skills, and is highly skilled with Excel and computer-based data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and dispatch loads to ensure maximum mileage and efficiency.
· Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and load assignments.
· Monitor driver progress, provide support, and resolve issues as they arise.
· Maintain accurate and timely data entry in dispatch software and Excel spreadsheets.
· Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
· Analyze and track performance metrics to optimize operations.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience dispatching trucks in a logistics/transportation setting.
· Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions.
