Our busy and growing OB/GYN practice is seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional with a minimum of five (5) years of experience, preferably in an OB/GYN setting, who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
- At least 5 years of OB/GYN clinical experience preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification.
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OB/GYN procedures and women’s health
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced clinical environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
Required OB/GYN Skills
- Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
- Assisting physicians with pelvic exams and in-office procedures
- Preparing exam and procedure rooms
- Collecting and processing Pap smear specimens
- Assisting with IUD insertions/removals, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, and other gynecologic procedures
- Performing pregnancy testing and urine specimen collection
- Administering injections and vaccines
- Fetal heart tone monitoring and assisting with prenatal visits
- Patient education regarding medications, prenatal care, and treatment plans
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) documentation
- Medication refills and prior authorizations
- Coordinating referrals, imaging, and laboratory testing
- Following infection control and OSHA guidelines
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and prepared.
- Support efficient clinic workflow while maintaining a positive patient experience.
