We are seeking a part-time Garden Center Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gardening, along with excellent customer service skills. This role involves assisting customers, and supporting the maintenance of our extensive plant inventory to ensure an engaging shopping experience for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding plant selection and gardening tips.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the garden center, including stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory control practices.
- Plant maintenance.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service within a garden center, nursery, or related environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, merchandising, and stock management.
