JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DIETARY AIDE
RESPONSIBLE TO: Dietary Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include assisting in preparation and delivery of food to residents. Also performs a variety of unskilled tasks including sweeping and mopping floors, dish washing, and keeping kitchen and storeroom neat and orderly.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. Assisting in serving hot foods.
2. Portions cold foods.
3. Cleans equipment.
4. Provides assistance in preparing meals.
5. Follows cleaning schedules.
6. Attend in-service training as scheduled.
7. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALFICATIONS:
1. Must be able to read, write, and follow oral directions.
2. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and lift approximately 40 pounds.
3. Able and willing to work flexible hours.
4. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
