David Wenzel Salon is looking to grow our team with a new assistant! We are a team driven salon of highly trained specialists in all types of hair and welcoming to all people! We seek to provide all clients with a curated luxury experience in a clean, inviting, and relaxing environment. We are looking for someone who is motivated, passionate, eager to learn, and ready to jumpstart their career! Assistants need to be Cosmetology School graduates with a license, or graduates with a plan to obtain their license soon. Assistants will work on continuing their education while also gaining valuable experience with their own clients on the floor. Assistants duties include: Shadowing stylists, assisting stylists with washing, coloring, blow drying hair, cleaning the salon, talking with clients, answering the phones, working the front desk, building their skills, continuing education and establishing a clientele. Assistants will join our assistant education program where they will learn more techniques and services with members of our nationally recognized team. Our education program will enable you with the skills necessary to become a successful and profitable stylist while getting hands on experience with clients. Assistants spend part of their time taking clients of their own in addition to the above duties. Saturdays and evenings are required.

We are commission based (assistants earn hourly pay as well as commission) and operate on a level system. Stylists can move up through the levels as they gain the necessary skills and specializations required for each level. Each level comes with a service price increase. We offer PTO to full time employees after one year of employment, and plenty of educational opportunities throughout the year. The salon also sponsors occasional outings or get togethers for the staff to enjoy. We also offer one on one coaching with our leadership team to help you build the necessary business skills to earn more behind the chair. We offer standard hair color and cutting services as well as Brazilian Blowouts, Extensions, Facial Waxing, and Ouidad Curly Haircuts and Coloring Services.
