Overview
Mill Creek MetroParks is seeking an energetic, organized, positive, and professional leader to direct our Golf and Recreation department. The Golf and Recreation Director is responsible for all facets of golf and recreation programming on behalf of the MetroParks. With a focus on recreational opportunities, visitor services, and events management, you will foster a welcoming environment that promotes visitor satisfaction, team engagement, and operational excellence.
Who you are!
- Must be at least 18 years old with minimum high school completion or GED
- You possess a valid driver's license
- You have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business or Sports Management, Turfgrass Maintenance, Recreation, or a related field
- You have a minimum of five (5) years' progressive experience in managing the operation of a public or private golf course or recreation facility
General Duties
- Lead the promotion, development, and coordination of both short- and long-term golf and recreation programming plans and events throughout the MetroParks
- Develop and execute engaging events and tournaments that attract guests and enhance the overall resort experience
- Oversee guest services by providing personalized assistance, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Lead a team of golf professionals, recreation staff, and operations personnel through effective management practices, training, and motivation
- Serve as both a liaison between and a resource for the MetroParks and the golf and recreation community
- Ensure the appropriate promotion, successful implementation, and support of the golf and recreation programs, leagues, events, and clinics offered by the MetroParks
- Prepare, implement, and monitor the Annual Plan of Operation and corresponding budget
