American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit on a 13-week night shift contract, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Med/Surg/Ortho experience and an active KS or compact RN license.

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Traction equipment used on the unit

Common procedures include total joint and spine surgeries

Meditech EMR
-
Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 CNC, 5 RNs, and 3 PCTs

Active KS or compact RN license required

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience

At least 2 years of overall clinical experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Familiarity with traction equipment is preferred

Experience with spine, hip, and joint precautions is preferred

ACLS certification is preferred

Brand new unit

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
