We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. Minimum 3 years of dental assistant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and treatment areas in compliance with infection control standards
- Take, process, and maintain high-quality dental X-rays while adhering to all safety guidelines
- Accurately document patient information and maintain records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with patient flow, appointment scheduling, and treatment coordination
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
- Take vital signs and assist with dental imaging as needed
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care for pediatric patients
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a chairside Dental Assistant
- Proficiency with OpenDental software
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
- Experience in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Ability to maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and clinical best practices
- Experience with 3D dental scanners is a plus
- Knowledge of medical coding is an advantage
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
