Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Salon Manager to lead our team with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily salon operations, manage staff, ensure outstanding customer service, and drive business growth. Your leadership will inspire a team committed to excellence, creating a positive atmosphere for clients and staff alike.
Mevo experience is required. QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to foster a high-performing team
- Oversee daily operations such as scheduling, inventory management, POS transactions, and cash handling to ensure smooth workflow
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Manage retail sales, product merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards while maintaining a welcoming environment
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and uphold exceptional customer service standards
- Monitor financial aspects including budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and sales reporting
Skills
- Strong management skills with proven experience in retail or salon management environments
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Skilled in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
- Proficient in inventory control, purchasing, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within the retail or beauty industry; experience with shift management is preferred
- Knowledge of operational management including budgeting, merchandising, marketing, and store management
- Ability to multitask effectively with excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities
- Experience with wireless sales or related customer service roles is a plus
