Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000+ Commensurate with Experience and Inclusive of Monthly Performance-based Bonuses
About the Role
Allmand Law is seeking a motivated attorney to join our consumer bankruptcy team as a Case Building Attorney. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to make a meaningful impact for clients, develop strong bankruptcy experience, and work in a structured, technology-forward legal environment.
Our firm helps individuals and families regain financial control during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. The Case Building Attorney plays a critical role in that mission by preparing cases for successful filing, communicating with clients, identifying legal and factual issues, and ensuring each case is built accurately, efficiently, and with care.
This position may be based in one of our Texas offices, hybrid, or remote. Preference will be given to candidates located in Texas or admitted to practice in Texas bankruptcy districts.
What You’ll Do
As a Case Building Attorney, you will work directly with clients and our legal team to prepare consumer bankruptcy cases for filing. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting virtual and/or in-person client meetings to gather facts, confirm eligibility, and identify legal issues
- Reviewing client documents, case records, financial information, and bankruptcy-related disclosures
- Preparing and reviewing case documentation for filing according to firm procedures and court requirements
- Communicating legal information clearly and professionally to clients by phone, email, text, and video conference
- Researching, retrieving, and updating information in client case files
- Collaborating with paralegals, legal assistants, and supervising attorneys to move cases efficiently toward filing
- Using case management software and digital tools to maintain accurate records and track case progress
- Helping clients feel informed, respected, and supported throughout the bankruptcy process
Court appearances are minimal for this position. The primary focus is client interaction, case preparation, issue spotting, documentation, and pre-filing legal review.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and client-centered. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through matter.
This is a strong opportunity for a newer attorney who wants to build practical bankruptcy experience, as well as for an experienced attorney who enjoys client-facing legal work without a heavy litigation or courtroom schedule.
Strong candidates will have:
- A genuine passion for helping people through difficult financial situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established legal procedures
- Confidence speaking with clients about sensitive financial and legal issues
- Good judgment, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- The ability to manage a high-volume caseload without sacrificing quality
- Comfort using legal technology, case management systems, digital records, and remote communication tools
- A problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
