American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment at a Level 2 trauma, interventional stroke-certified facility with a Level 3 NICU, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and trauma experience required.

Level 2 trauma center that is also interventional stroke certified and home to a Level 3 NICU that serves as a regional transport resource
-
Primarily adult respiratory therapy with exposure to pediatric intubated patients; patient population spans infants to geriatrics
-
Procedures and responsibilities include non-invasive and conventional ventilation management, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial line placement, arterial and capillary blood gases, oxygen management, and patient education

EMR and unit systems include Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00

Every other weekend required

Floating required within the facility and to a sister campus as needed

No on-call requirements

Active Georgia RRT license required; license required if applicable

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience

Trauma experience required

Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) experience preferred

Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO must be submitted and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Blackout dates apply for both night and day shifts — Night shift: June (total blackout), July 5–31, August 1–2; Day shift: June (total blackout), July 15–31, August 1–9

Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work two and may request one holiday off for approval

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

No scheduling change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
