About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of machinery, ensuring product quality, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously to maintain production flow.
- Set up and sharpen tooling, making necessary machine adjustments to optimize performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools and blueprints to ensure products meet specifications.
- Transport materials using a lift truck, maintaining inventory accuracy through ERP software transactions.
- Complete required documentation, including labor and scrap reports, to track production metrics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5-S principles.
- Proactively identify and report any quality, machine, or inventory issues to the group leader.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision inspection instruments.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and heavy machinery, such as forklifts.
- Strong math and reading skills, with basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience as a machine operator.
- Experience with CNC Machine Setup & Changeover.
- Familiarity with Investment Casting (Foundry Operations).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
