We believe in a collaborative, student-centered approach to education. Our teachers work closely with families, BCBAs, and ABA providers to support each student's individualized learning plan.
Based on the student's needs and the recommendations of the educational and clinical team, some students may receive the support of a one-on-one ABA therapist in the classroom.
This collaborative model promotes student success while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging, individualized lessons.
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and families to promote student success.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
- Experience in a classroom setting is preferred.
- DCF 45-Hour Training completed or willingness to obtain it.
- CDA, FCCPC, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
- A positive attitude, patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
