Overview:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain DoD STIG Compliant images

Provide Tier II engineering, development, testing, and production environment support
- Responsible for full Life Cycle support of AWS GovCloud and On-Premised hosted Systems/Applications.

Review, evaluate, and fine-tunes system performance for Mission Systems/Applications.

Monitor the environment to ensure they meet customer requirements.

Coordinate problem resolution with customers, teammates, and vendors.

Evaluate new and existing system software/hardware and recommends changes.

Provide management with status of project.

Implement, monitor, and maintain Cybersecurity compliance vulnerability mitigations.

Perform interface Administration, including sFTP, SFG, shell scripting, etc.

Support maintenance and administrative scripting (Shell, Perl, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

3+ years experience as a Linux/UNIX (RHEL, Solaris) Systems Administrator

DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance

CompTIA Security + certification
Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $82,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
