Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including both high and low voltage work. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to interpret schematics, ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently. The Journeyman Electrician will work primarily on construction sites, collaborating with other trades to build and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This candidate must be within a 25mile radius from zip code 94002. Must have own tools and reliable transportation to and from work.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, performing diagnostic tests on equipment and systems
- Work with high voltage installations as well as low voltage systems
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion
- Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to industry safety standards
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or similar role within the construction or industrial sector
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and commercial applications
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Prior experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance person is a plus
- Minimum 7 years of related experience required
