Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Baling Machine Operator for Textiles to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining baling machines that compress textile materials into manageable bales for storage and transportation. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and safety protocols are strictly followed. Duties
- Operate textile baling machines efficiently, ensuring consistent bale quality and proper compression levels.
- Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain safety and quality standards in production.
- Handle materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling tools.
- Perform quality inspections on finished bales, ensuring they meet specified weight, size, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate production records through data entry into digital systems and logs
- Assist with packaging finished textile products securely for shipment or storage
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during machine operation, material handling, and warehouse activities
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate textile machinery confidently
- Experience with baling machines.
- Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and data entry tasks
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence and hazard awareness
- Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in warehouse settings
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for managing inventory movement effectively
