Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Lead food production efforts, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items, including special dietary requests.
- Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver exceptional service for large events and private functions.
- Enforce food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health department standards at all times.
- Support menu planning, recipe development, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate the dining experience.
Skills
- Extensive banquet experience with a proven track record of managing large-scale food service events.
- Supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments or specialized menus.
- Expertise in food production, food handling, and culinary techniques across various cuisines.
- Strong team management abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff effectively.
