Seabreeze Erosion Solutions is a rapidly growing Southwest Florida contractor specializing in shoreline stabilization, marine construction, erosion control, dewatering, excavation, lake restoration, and environmental enhancement projects for private communities, homeowner associations, community development districts (CDDs), and commercial clients.
Our projects involve heavy equipment operation, shoreline restoration, lake management, excavation, grading, dewatering systems, and coordination with engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and support field operations, equipment logistics, crew coordination, and project execution throughout Southwest Florida.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager serves as the primary field operations leader for the company and works directly with ownership, project management, engineers, inspectors, and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This position combines operations management, heavy equipment oversight, crew leadership, project coordination, fleet management, and hands-on field support.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working both in the field and in a leadership role.
Responsibilities
Field Operations Management
- Coordinate daily field activities and project execution.
- Support crew leaders and field personnel.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits.
- Identify and resolve field issues.
Project Coordination
- Determine equipment requirements for active projects.
- Assist with construction planning, project sequencing and punch-list completion.
- Monitor site conditions, lake levels, weather conditions, and project progress.
- Ensure projects are completed according to company standards.
Engineer & Client Coordination
- Meet with engineers, inspectors, property managers, and clients on-site.
- Participate in project meetings and field walkthroughs.
- Provide project updates to management.
- Assist in resolving site-related issues.
Equipment & Fleet Management
- Coordinate transportation of heavy equipment between jobsites.
- Ensure equipment remains job-ready and operational.
Operate company equipment when necessary, including:
- Excavators
- Mini Excavators
- Skid Steers
- Compact Track Loaders
- Pumps
- Trucks and Trailers
- Other construction equipment
Dewatering & Water Management Operations
- Assist with planning and implementation of lake dewatering operations.
- Coordinate pumps, discharge locations, and water transfer activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction operations, field supervision, or project management.
- Experience managing construction crews.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Ability to tow equipment trailers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
Preferred
- Civil construction and site development experience.
- Dewatering experience.
- Fleet management experience.
- CDL License.
