Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud.
C+E’s Commerce Financial Platforms (CFP) team is responsible for Financial Platforms, Global Payments Platform, Employee Financial Experiences, and C+E Compliance, and also develops and operates financial commerce platforms and tools that perform all revenue management functions for our customers, partners, and staff worldwide.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in our Financial Platforms Team, your role will be to lead and support features within Microsoft’s financial data and reporting environment. Ensuring on-time, accurate, compliant, and insightful enterprise-grade data products is the goal, and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience with delivering complex projects in a financial reporting ecosystem. The candidate must be ready to build relationships across multiple stakeholder and engineering teams to meet evolving needs for financial data and reporting. Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership
Identifies opportunities to improve business outcomes through data modernization, reporting innovation, process simplification, and platform evolution.
Incorporates customer, stakeholder, and business insights to influence investments, priorities, and long-term strategy.
Business Impact & Customer Focus
Partners with Finance, Engineering, Data, and Business stakeholders to understand critical business challenges and translate them into strategic program opportunities.
Measures success through business outcomes, user adoption, operational efficiency, and reporting effectiveness.
Drives programs that improve the accessibility, quality, trustworthiness, and usability of financial data.
Cross-Functional Program Execution
Leads complex, cross-organizational programs with multiple dependencies, stakeholders, and implementation teams.
Orchestrates planning, execution, and delivery activities across engineering, product, data, and business organizations.
Product, Data, and Platform Modernization
Risk, Governance, and Compliance
Proactively identifies risks, dependencies, and blockers, developing mitigation strategies that protect business commitments.
Ensures alignment with security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management & Executive Communications
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Finance, ERP, Financial Reporting, Business Intelligence, or Data Platforms.
Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Services, or enterprise data warehousing solutions.
Experience managing complex cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
