American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring cardiac catheterization experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-
13-week assignment length
-
Candidates will float within scope if needed

Utilizes Epic charting system
-
Active RN license (VA or Compact) required and must be in hand at time of application

Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required

Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Prior travel nursing experience required

Required Epic charting system experience
-
BSN preferred
-
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation); diploma, Associate's, and BSN degrees accepted

Skills required include circulating procedures, ventilator management, medication administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and cardiac cath lab procedures

Scrub procedures skills preferred

2 professional references required (supervisor level or above)

Responsibilities include circulating and scrub procedures, ventilator management, medication administration, and procedural sedation monitoring for cardiac catheterization cases

Facility maintains a natural nail policy

Drug and tobacco-free workplace; smoking is not permitted on campus

All candidates will complete required modules during orientation week through the facility's Learning Exchange system

Local candidates are accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
-
Both travelers and permanent staff must have a gap of at least one year since their last employment with the facility before being eligible to return as a traveler

Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application for manager approval; no time off will be granted during the first week of the assignment

Candidates should not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
