We are looking for a well-rounded, detail-oriented operations dispatcher to help grow one of the largest same day delivery companies in the Cleveland area.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with both customers and drivers, and can help manage day-to-day operations efficiently.
Position Overview
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispatching and routing drivers throughout Northeast Ohio
- Communicating with customers regarding deliveries, pickups, and special requests
- Coordinating with drivers throughout the day to ensure on-time service
- Adjusting routes and solving problems as they arise
- Recruiting and working with quality drivers
- Assisting with light warehouse duties as needed
- Helping resolve after-hours or weekend issues when necessary
Schedule
Starting time will generally be between 8:00–9:30 AM with shifts ending between 5:00–6:00 PM depending on operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3+ years of dispatching experience, preferably in same day delivery, courier, or rush freight
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good knowledge of Northeast Ohio roads and directions
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Leadership and decision-making ability
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will depend on experience, starting around $55,000 annually.
