CDL WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED
Overview
Join our team as a Paratransit Driver and become a part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to the community. In this role, you will operate passenger vehicles designed to assist individuals with mobility challenges, seniors, children, and those requiring accessible transit options.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate paratransit vehicles, including buses and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide courteous, professional assistance to passengers, including helping with boarding and disembarking, especially for those with mobility needs.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness before each shift.
- Communicate clearly with passengers using English or multilingual skills to provide route information and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance logs as required.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while managing route schedules efficiently.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating buses or paratransit vehicles.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Familiarity with paratransit operations or previous roles in customer service or childcare enhances your ability to excel in this position.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,540.00 per week
