Woodworking Specialist
Department: Production / Millwork
Reports To: Shop Foreman / Production Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Woodworking Specialist to join our millwork team. This position is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of custom wood components and millwork products according to shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on woodworking skills, takes pride in craftsmanship, can accurately interpret drawings and measurements, and is comfortable working with both traditional woodworking tools and modern shop equipment.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, cut lists, and project specifications.
· Measure, cut, shape, machine, assemble, and install wood and wood-based materials.
· Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, shapers, miter saws, panel saws, routers, planers, jointers, sanders, and other shop equipment.
· Build custom doors, panels, trim, radiused jambs, flooring, architectural millwork, and other specialty wood components.
· Perform detailed layout and precision measurements to ensure accurate fabrication.
· Assemble components using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, joinery, and hardware.
· Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit, appearance, and overall quality.
· Make adjustments and corrections as needed to meet project specifications.
· Perform sanding, preparation, and basic finishing work when required.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Properly maintain and care for tools, machinery, and equipment.
· Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, designers, and other members of the production team.
· Meet production schedules while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, architectural millwork, or a related field preferred.
· Ability to accurately read measurements and work with fractions and dimensions.
· Ability to read and understand shop drawings and basic construction plans.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
· Basic knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, materials.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
· Ability to lift and move materials and work safely in a manufacturing/shop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· 2+ years of professional woodworking or millwork experience.
· Experience working from detailed shop drawings.
· Experience with CNC machinery or other automated woodworking equipment.
· Familiarity with CAD drawings and digital fabrication files.

Physical Requirements

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
