Job Description:
Summary:
The Certified Phlebotomist performs aseptic venipuncture procedures to obtain venous and capillary blood samples for analyses in order to obtain data which may be used in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease. Performs additional procedures and related duties following established professional standards and practices within the field of laboratory medicine. The Patient Centered Care provided to each patient is specific to the patient's particular physical, age-specific and psychosocial needs. The patient populations served by this position include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Requirements:
Individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who have graduated or are actively enrolled in a high school/secondary education program in good standing with the academic institution and on track for meeting the high school/secondary graduation requirements are eligible for employment in this role.
